This week was another great week here im the CCM, and my last full week. How crazy is that. I leave bright and early
Tuesday morning for Barcelona, so this is my last pday here. Wahoo!!!! The thing I'm going to miss the most is the temple. Man oh man i loooove that place! I'm gonna miss everyone here at the CCM too, but I know there are many more great friends and experiences to come.
Tons more lessons learned this week:
Park day was, once again, just amazing. My favorite people from last week (if im allowed to pick favorites haha) were a group of 5 friends from Bolivia. 4 older ladies, and one older man, and they were the sweetest. We were walking past and Oscar, the man, and I made eye contact, right when it was almost too late, without warning my companion, I swung around her and we started talking to these people. They were just the nicest!! I felt so much love for them! They told us how much they admired our sacrifice to be here. They love God, so naturally we talked about that. I bore my testimony and was about to go on my merry way when I had the tiniest thought to give them a Book of Mormon. They LOVED it!!! They said they would read it together that night. Ah i love them!! I hope they did and i hope they feel the power and strength that comes from it.
President Packer has been really emphasising goal setting, especially in regards to the park. He told us when we make a goal, we covenant with the Lord to do everything we can to meet that. Two weeks ago, when he first taught us this, collectively our goal was to give 44 people a book of mormon. That day my companion and i met our goal perfectly. Others didnt and others flew above and beyond. During our devotional President had us all close our eyes and hold up how many books per companionship. 44. We met our goal exactly.
This week my companion and I were one away from meeting our goal as we headed back to the subway, I told her to pray silently that we'd be guided to people that were ready. Crossing the street, we met a very nice young man who had been listening to us sing at the fountain. He wanted to learn more, so we were able to give him one!
Then my comp was digging for her metro ticket and I saw a woman standing against the wall and she too was super prepared!! Then another young man on the metro!!! Miracles :) i have no doubt God is guiding and directing our every step.
I've absolutely loved my time here in Madrid. It's had some hard times, but at the end of the day I always go to bed humble happy and excited. I love being a missionary! It is the best decision I've ever made! I know God and Jesus Christ appeared to young Joseph Smith. I know They live. I know this Church is true.
I hope you all have the greatest week! I cannot thank you all enough for the love support and prayers. I feel them everyday!
Signing off for my last time in Madrid. Next stop Barcelona!!
Loves!!
