Hello world!
I hope you've all had a lovely week and a half, I know you are curious so I'll just get to it.
I AM SO THANKFUL I GET TO BE HERE IN MADRID!
I love my companions (I am in a trio because one girl didn't have a visa come through, but I love them both so it's great!) Hermana Leong is from Macau CHINA! she is the hardest worker and is so adorable. Hermana Gretzl is from Missouri. We get along really well. Both didn't have any Spanish before.
I'm honestly shocked by how much Spanish I know, I do a lot of translating for my district. The gift of tongues is real. I'm also so grateful for every minute of Spanish I had before (especially Mr. Ecalano, so tell him thanks from me Cam ☺)Plus I get to go out on Pdays so that´s definitely a perk, especially since some days get to feel kinda like prison, but its a good kind of prison, if that makes sense hah.
I've had some awesome experiences already!!!
Every Saturday we get to proselyte in a big park and last Saturday was amazing! I was paired with Hermana Dos Santos, and we were on fire together. We talked to so many people, gave out all 6 of the spanish BoMs that we brought, tons of pamphlets and got 5 referrals. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY. I wish I had time I could tell you about all the people I met.One super awesome guy we talked to was from Africa and was wearing these crazy running tights and had long hair and very hard to understand spanish, but we both at the same time were like we need to talk to him. He was so humble and just soaked up everything. I was able to bare my testimony of the Book of Mormon and told him it was about Christ. I felt the spirit so strong, it took everything in me not to dance away from that park bench.I am learning so much here and I am so thankful for the decision I made to serve! I know the gospel is true and that Christ lives and that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. It definitely has not been the easiest week, but I am happy none the less.Love you all!Sincerely a very happy and humbled,Hermana Read
