Palma :) Out with a BAPTISM

Guess whose back in Cataluña!
(Well mainland, because the islands are still in Cataluña haha)

I feel so grateful for my time in Palma and the blessing of serving with Hermana Garcia. I just feel so much love for the people here, but I'm excited for the new adventures and miracles in L'Hospitalet with Hermana Johnson!!! I adore her and I'm thrilled for what's to come. It'll be so nice having someone to collaborate with as a Sister Training Leader, I've been at it sollfor a while haha.

I feel overwhelmingly grateful for being able to witness Iván's baptism and see him experience the joy of the gospel! After he came out of the water he just embrassed Elder Mayall for a long time, and it seemed like no one was breathing in fear of breaking such a perfect piece of heaven. He literally glowed and thanked us profusely for teaching him and for believing in him. He now has unlocked the power of the knowledge that he is a son of God and he, for the first time in his life, know what it means to be happy. It gives me such a fullness of JOY to see the gospel change and bless his life. No one is too far, from the streets to a saint, Christ's love is real, infinite, and individual! We, hermanas, sang I Know that My Redeemer Lives as the musical number and it was such a beautiful spirit. Everyone was crying. It's always a blessing to be able to share my testimony through song.

Iván came out with us to teach with us the day before his baptism, and he in a door way taught the gospel of Jesus Christ using the example of a ladder and it was so precious. He loved that experience and he has decided to serve a mission!!! He is going to remove his tattoos and go change lives!

After the baptism, we had a very successful western night! We taught line dancing, had karaoke, and had a great time. We had some potential investigators come and it was wonderful and brought even greater unity to the rama!

Miguel is progressing beautifully as well! He was really sad that I had to leave, and made Hermana Garcia and I promise to organize Skype lessons and to Skype in on the baptism. He's from Mallorca and so expressive in his face, but he accepted the challenge to read instead of smoke and selected his own date for the 23rd of June. I'm so excited for him!! He really is stretching the faith he has so recently developed. Makes me so happy!

I love Palma so much! As sad as I am to leave, I am equally excited for what's to come!

I love you all so very much!
I know the power of the Atonement is real. We can use it for little things or big, but WE have to decide to turn to Him. There is no greater joy than seeing others turn and feel the same.

Until next week,
Hermana Read
