Hi friends and family!
The mission is full of lots of surprises... and new adventures! Hahaha Like being in a trio with the Zone Leaders for 6 hours in an airport while our plane was stuck because of a strike in barcelona and again on the way back to Palma haha. We finally arrived in Barc at 4AM and then had concilio and arrived back in Palma just before Midnight the same day. Being alone with Elders is just like traveling with my brothers and honestly I feel more comfortable with them than Hermanas some times. Hahaha. #onlygirllife The senor couple picked us up and we got permission to sleep in their (giant) house. I had my own room on the top floor and it felt sooooo weird to sleep alone. President also told us to sleep in, so that also felt suuuper weird. Then the rest of the missionaries came and we had navajo tacos and played games. We are literally a family here in the islands. I'm going to be so sad to leave this place.
We had concilio (leadership counsel) this weekend and it was amazing. I felt the spirit and the excitement of the work, and was so humbled and learned so much. The spirit is amazing at correcting with love. I am so excited to put into practice what I learned and use the power of Christ's Atonement to change my very nature.
This week:
Ivan just fits right in. We got him a white shirt and tie and he once again just loved Church. He is so excited for his baptism this week. And so are we :)
This week we were on an intercombio and we were heading back to the church to switch off and I just had the feeling to stop this man. Leonardo is really amazing. We had a great conversation on the street, gave him a BoM and he committed to come to the baptism of the Elders the following day. He did and really liked it! He had read a little bit and had amazing questions. The hermanas met with him yesterday while I was in Barc and said he is just amazing and they were able to help him find answers. He is excited to come to church. He had to leave early, so no fecha, but I'm excited for the progress he will make.
Another huge miracle is David! He selected his own fecha, willingly came to all three hours, is reading, loved the baptism, and is going to be moving out here soon. He is finding his answers and it is working miracles. I know it is the power of prayer, because since the day he finally overcame that, he has just completely changed.
I love Palma so much!! Unfortunately I think this will be my last week here. Transfers are on Tuesday. I'll probably be heading to my last area. So that is pretty crazy. I guess on sunday I will be able to tell you where I'm headed :)
I love the mission so much! I seriously am so grateful for the love that fills my heart as I put my shoulder to the wheel and work with everything I've got. I know this is the work of God and I feel truly honored to be here.
I love you all!
