Buenas tardes!
In case you are wondering, Leo was finally baptized this week!! It made me so happy to see him so happy. He's wanted this for a while now and finally was able to make the leap. His mom and friends came to support, and his mom is really supportive of mutual and english class. She's had contact with the church since she was 13, and I know that Leo will be a strong element in her eventual conversion! My favorite part was his testimony. He is just a little quiet 13 year old boy, but he got up and through a shy smile testified how happy he felt as he was being baptized. He said it was hard to describe but he was just so happy. Then he testified about how he knows the church is true and how Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I had the biggest smile on my face. He is so excited to serve a mission (he want to learn Japanese or English. So similar right? haha) And his mom is in full support of it! It is also helping his grandma come back to full activity!
Jesus is thrilled for his baptism this week!! He has been looking forward to the 14th for so long! Satan has been throwing him for a loop with trials, but Jesus still makes every sacrifice possible. I am so excited for him. What an amazing turn around he has made!
Sorin is a little Romanian man that is so great! We were able to video call with a Romanian member that lives in Barcelona to help us out! It was really amazing the ability to use technology to cross language barriers. His brother also wants to learn more, but don't speak spanish at all.
I am so grateful to be a missionary. Really truly the best decision ever!
I love our Zone, we are really so full of excitement and faith and we are working hard with one purpose. That is something I've seen so much on my mission: the power of unity! There is so much more you can do when you sinergize and have more than one person all working hard for the same goal, then when you put God's power in the mix, it is even more amazing.
As I have been listening to the last session of conference that I wasn't able to watch, I have really been impressed with the theme of ministering. I love how Christ genuinely, selflessly loved with His entire being. And I know that as we live worthy, we too are filled with his love.
I know this is God's work. And it is the very best thing in the whole world.
I hope you all know that YOU are way more powerful than me. The power of a genuine friend is far greater than anything I could do stopping strangers on the street (don't get me wrong miracles happen!!) But please, be a friend and share with them the love that the Savior has for them and His incredible plan of HAPPINESS!!
I love you all!
Thanks so much!
