Hello family and friends!

Very happy missionary here! Marvelous week: zone conference, barbecue with fatty meat and cheese milk rice that i didnt enjoy eating, but hey, whats an adventure without some bad food, right?

Zone Conference was so great! I learned about keeping Christ the focus of everything, because He is!! I love learning how to be better, especially as a missionary. I mean I'm still trying to figure all these things out. I absolutely love President and Hermana Dayton. Amazing amazing people. Very driven, very organized, and they just inspire me to be my best and work my hardest and love every minute.

This week I learned how to make a spanish tortilla! We went to Emily's (a member) house Saturday morning and made them for our picnic. We play sports futbol and basketball every Saturday and this week we had a picnic too.

Our investigators are a bit lazy, sadly. So baptism dates had to be moved or dropped, BUT all is still well and this is still God's work.

Angeles is golden. I adore her. She loves church and she loves reading and is just progressing so well. We have a cita with her tonight and we are working towards June 10th. Shes very smart, and from spain, and we are just very excited.

One day, all, and i mean ALL of our citas fired. It was very strange, so we passed by people and contacted. There was supposed to be an activity at the church, but no one showed, not even the teacher, so we were heading back to our area and down into the metro and on the steps there was a young man, sitting on the stairs, arms folded with his head resting on them. My heart hurt for him, and just as we were passing i just turned around and said hello, how are you? I have a book for you. We talked a bit. Hes lives over an hour away in a little pueblo. I assume he was there for the valencian soccer game going on, but i have no clue. After talking for a bit, i briefly explained the book of mormon and he took it, even though he didnt really believe in Christ. I bore my testimony and he seemed excited to read it. I know God has a plan for him, as he does for us all. I know that the book of Mormon will bless his life, its blessed mine. It is impossible to explain the strength that comes from just reading, and studying from that book. I am greatful God's hand led us there and the spirit turned me around to share the greatest book on earth.

Today we toured the cathedral where the Senior Sister Missionaries work. It was amazing. Its a functioning seminary for Catholic priests and they took us into the archives with thousands of books dating back to the 14 century! The senior sisters are scanning pages to go to family search for indexing. The books were primarily wills and legal documents with lots of names needing to be found. They are written in valencian and latin. Blows my mind to think of all those names sitting on those shelves waiting for the gospel. DO FAMILY HISTORY! AND INDEXING! ITS AMAZING!

Oh how my testimony is growing and growing. I love being a missionary. I love that i can help make people's life even better. I know God lives and this is his work. I see His hand everyday.

I love you all!
Stay amazing
Hermana Read
