Happiest Missionary There Ever Was!

Thank you for all your prayers!

My prayers were definitely answered in so many ways, for example: I GET TO STAY IN VALENCIA!! Everyone was surprised, but I had the feeling I was staying all week. I know this is exactly where I need to be, and there is still so much to learn from these wonderful people. I feel like the whole ward is family! I just love it here!!

My companion got transfered, and Hermana McConkie is on her way. I am so excited for this transfer, we are going to work hard, enjoy every minute and see lots of baptisms!

Once again,
SO MANY MIRACLES:

On Tuesday last week, we passed by a contact I had now nearly 2 months ago, and turns a young 17 year old girl let us in who is family friends of my initial contact, but she is GOLDEN. Her name is Vivi, and she had a hard day and just ate up everyword we said. Her friends showed up and also loved it. We only had one Book of Mormon on us, and Vivi guarded it she was so excited. We are going back this week and her friends want to invite even more friends!!

Jheimy: THRIVING even in difficult times! She has such an amazingly strong, blossoming testimony. She has always had a light about her, and it just keeps growing. We have blessed with the problem of having too many citas to handle, so we did member splits twice this week, and she was my amazing companion for an afternoon. Oh how I just adore her! Her mom and her sister are doing well, but they are easily swayed by the opinions of others and are not relying on prayer and the spirit for their answers. They got in a bit of a fight this last weekend. Jheimy just wants so badly for them to see, feel, and know they joy, and she is trying so hard to be a missionary for all her family. Luckily she is patient, and she loves to study the scriptures and knows to whar source to look. She is going to change so many lives.

It's hard to watch Maritza suffer, because I know she has already received her answer!! But with patience and prayer we will keep working till she is ready to trust no one but God and put Him above her boyfriend. I have lots of faith, and now that her mom is back, I actually think it might help to go through the lessons again.

Yosuart (He fixed our spelling) picked his own fecha and really is just doing so well. He is so excited for his baptism that he is telling the whole ward, is consistant in his reading and praying. He is such a neat person with an incredible story and an unending compacity to make the best of all he has been given. He gets along really well and is spending a lot of time hanging out with the Young Single Adults.

Remember Angeles? We finally were able to make a plan with her and she is working hard to get ready for her baptism October 7. I made her a box of scripture "cigarrettes" It was adorable, but unfortunately I forget to take a picture. We also made her a calendar, and she is going to go to the addiction recovery class. YAY!

Edward is still being hammered with oposition, but thankfully he knows what he knows to be true. He is working on making scriptures and prayer a habbit. He missed church again... we called him and he told us he was on the way to the metro, but someone stopped him and invited him to lunch or something. We are working on helping him put God first and not let anything stop him. He wanted to be baptized on the 16th, but I think we will still wait a bit longer until he is active BEFORE his baptism.

MIRACLE!! Jose and Esperanza really, finally opened up, and ACTUALLY comitted to read the Book of Mormon. We discovered that their perspective of the gospel and the road to an eternal family was like a giant mountain, too hard to climb, and a check list too boring to complete, but by the end of the lesson they finally understood that they gospel was JOYFUL and to simply start with the Book of Mormon. We wrote our testimonies in one because Esperanza told us she didn't have her very own and said she would read it if we wrote, so we did, and she LOVED it and is very excited to read it. WAHOO! So excited to come back and go to their sealing! :)

Wish I could take you all with me everywhere I go and introduce you to everyone, and also have you try Horchata and Fartones or the Paella de Mariscos.

I hope you know I know God lives. He loves you!! He is a God of Miracles and He leads, guides, protects, and teaches me every single day. I know I am far from perfect, but He is patient and is turning weakness to strength. I love you all! Have the best week!

Your happily healthy,
Hermana Read
