Today we went for a little excursion out to Formantor. A lighthouse on the other side of the island and made a pit stop in the beautiful little mountain town of Valldemosa for some gelato and a coco de patata (a spanish pastry that is famous from that town that is just like a fluffy sweet roll topped with powdered sugar).
Funny story of the week. Hermana Warburton is super great and comes running with me and one day we were running in the rain through the gorgeous streets of the center and I look back and she gets hit by a biker hahaha. It was shocking to watch the biker topple over her and the 4 spaniard men running up to her defense. She wasn't seriously injured and just kept running. She has a nice bruise on her arm as evidence and we've been laughing all week.
The Elders in the other branch (Palma 2) had a baptism this weekend and she is excellent! She had so many people there. More people than we have in sacrament meeting (for right now at least ;)). And she invited her friend Paula who lives in our area! She seems incredible and Yanelis (the girl who was baptized) was teaching her the word of wisdom in line for the refreshment table! We have a visit set with her wednesday and Yanelis is coming too. I know she will be getting baptized here very soon. She was very excited and very interested.
More miracles from the baptism: Fausto came. He is one of our investigators that we haven't seen for a while because he is so busy with tests and things. But he came and he LOVED it. He talked about how surprised he was, and we discussed his baptism and he said yes, but in a long time. He read what we sent him, but wasn't able to come to church. He has great potential and I am really excited to be able to teach him finally (hopefully) this week!
I also got to sing at the baptism, which I just love. I love that I get to continue to use the talents that God has given me to invite the spirit. One of the investigators of the other hermanas was really touched by it.
Tony and Claudia had a busy week and weren't able to come to church either, but we will see them this saturday. Neider (the young man from Colombia) has great questions and we got through about the 1st half of the 1st lesson and gave him some homework, because he was stuck on the apostasy, but tonight we get to see him again and teach him my favorite part THE RESTORATION!
Another miracle. I was going through contacts in our phone and talked to Hector. He is from the Dominican Republic and seems excellent. We were able to teach him over a video call and he accepted the date of the 4th of March to be baptized! He also wasn't able to come but is really making the effort to read the scriptures. I am really excited to see how he progresses.
Beatrice is doing well. She is reading 20 seconds everyday and really just expressed her search for peace and happiness and we promised that by reading 1 verse or 20 seconds everyday she would find it. She also wasn't able to come to church, but it's okay. We will get everyone there next week!
Have a happy valentines day (I will too! I have a date planned with all the Hermanas to go get falafel hehe yumm!) I hope you all know how much I love you and how much God loves you! I also want you to know I much I love Him and His Son Jesus Christ. I know they live and that the gospel is REAL! Try it! Live it! And watch for how much your life will change.
Until next Tuesday (next week is transfers!)
Sure love you!
