Hello!
First off, my adorable new companion is the greatest. We both have a fire-y passion for the work and love working hard. We are really synergizing and just having the best time trying new things and finding so many miracles. Also she is addicted to pasta and is hilarious! I am also learning I bit of Italian, though the only thing that has really stuck so far is the pro nouns haha. We just laugh while working super hard, it's really the dream team. She is so positive and bubbly. I know we will be life long friends! (Also, Jake she is best friends with Elisa's little sister and knows like everyone from our trip. Small world.)
Miracles:
Well impulsively contacting a few young men who quickly came to find out were quite drunk and high, led to one of them coming to church! Daniel loved sacrament meeting, which was about the temple, and told us how, though he had no clue what it is he really wanted to go. So we were able to explain a bit and he gladly took a book of mormon. We had a really interesting lesson with him in which he explained to us how he talked to God and he knows he is a son of God. He said the closing prayer and it was really powerful. He loved it. And said it was the first time in his life that he has ever talked to God. Great great potential, just got to get him living the word of wisdom and not taking a smoke break at church haha.
Jason is a man from Colombia that I contacted with Hermana Gratzl a few weeks ago. We haven't been able to get a cita with him, but miracle of saturday church invites: HE CAME ON SUNDAY! He absolutely loved it as well and said that it will not be the last time he comes. He is busy with work, but he is trying hard to make time for God, because he knows that's what is most important.
Beatrice moved back to the peninsula, so we are working on getting the address. She's come a loong way. Still has a bit more to go, but she understands more and more each time about authority and prophets and has really grown in faith. Hector has been having personal issues, and hasn't been able to meet, so we are going to have to push back his baptism. Our romanian friend, Florin is so amazing! He is working towards baptism as well and really wants it. He is out of town for a few weeks visiting his girlfriend in Bilbao, but when he gets back, I know he will progress excellently. We had a great cita with Paula and her friend, the recent convert, bore powerful testimony and Paula really got excited. But now is struggling with fear of letting go of her catholic roots and told us she doesn't want to come back, but I know with her friend and english classes, she will soon be ready to receive all the blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
I could not be happier here. I love being a missionary and I love Palma!
Concilio was such a spiritual experience as well. We talked about eradicating discouragement and helping see and stop signs of discouragement and depression (and it dawned on me how much I have learned about that topic out here. Experiences and new skills and knowledge that will forever bless my life). I love that happiness is a choice. And life is exactly what you choose to make it. You want to change something about yourself, well tell yourself you are that way. (For me it was "I am organized.") And repeating that to yourself and you will change. Promise. And with Christ ALL things are possible and weaknesses are made strong! Ether 12:27. I love my Savior and will do anything for Him. I am Giving it my all everyday and there has never been a sweeter exhaustion.
Thank you all so much!
Have the best week! And share the gospel with a stranger you meet. Anyone! They are all children of God that are searching for what we have, yet don't know where to find it. So show them :)
Love you all!
