Hola cariños,
Huge miracle of the last week, we had 6 friends (aka investigators) come to church! And 4 of them, it was their first time!!
I am most excited about Tony and Claudia and their adorable little daughter, Isabel, that is just turning 3. Tony is Spaniard but has a heart of gold and is head over heels in love for his family and wants an eternal family! He is marvelous. His wife is also great, but doesn't always click with what we are teaching. But they both had a great first experience in the church!! They came to the branch that meets in the afternoon, were singing all the hymns, the testimonies were magnificent and exactly what they needed! The spirit was so strong! And all the branch members greeted them with open arms. Oh it was so good! (Working to get my branch that loving :)). They haven't accepted baptism yet, but I know I will see them be baptized! ETERNAL FAMILIES ARE MY FAVORITE!!!
Beatrice and her sister came to sacrament meeting, and Beatrice started crying during the sacrament hymn, and seemed to really enjoy it. Her quite closed off sister seemed to enjoy it as well! She isn't reading though... But we will get there. I have faith and determination.
Anabelys and Melvin are really busy with tests and have been really hard to have contact with, we are hoping this week will be better. Neider got back from his trip to Italy, and we have a visit tonight. Great things are on the way!
We went to the senior couple's (the Hutchings--yes mom, the ones that are related to the Daytons) house with everyone in the zone... or at least those that are in this island haha. And had soup and played games. It was so much fun. It's a bit cloudy and rainy, and we were going to go out to a lighthouse, but changed the plans, and we will go there next week. :) It was so fun. We played the animal game, it's like signs, but animals, and it's hilarious!! And yes, I was queen for just a moment there ;)
Intercombio with Hermana Baker was fun! She is a great missionary and has a powerful conversion story. I have learned so much from her. We invited one of the investigators of the Elders to come get ice cream with us after, and it turned into a powerful lesson and she said her first prayer out out loud. It was so beautiful! She really opened up to us! She is just scared to death because her parents are devout, and very strict, Catholics.
I love the work. The mission is the best! I am learning and changing so much. I cannot imagine my life without the mission and without all of these marvelous people that I just LOVE!
Keep praying we find that family and others that are ready to receive the gospel!
Love you all!
