Hola mis queridos!
Great week! Miracles are coming after lots of hard work :)
One day we went to an appointment that we have been rescheduled about 5 times, only to find no one there, but it was God's hand because we turned the corner, and Juan Carlos stopped us. He's from Bolivia but lives here because he has stomach cancer and the medical care is much better here. He told us about how much he loves the church and has been searching for it here in Valencia. He told us, on the street, that he is getting baptized "sí o sí". Then he came to the sacrament meeting right after ours, and told us how he just feels at home. He is a member already, just lacks the baptism (and the blessings). We gave him a book of Mormon in our first contact with him and I have never seen anyone so grateful. He's headed to Barcelona till the 26th, but he is absolutely golden. Miracle.
We saw a door open and decided to knock the building last night, and we met the nicest, most open Spanish woman named Cristina that begged us to come back. She saw Jesus Christ and warmly, welcomed us back. Miracle.
Charles, from Nigeria, told us how God led us together. He is the most prepared Nigerian i have ever met. He is Pentecostal and we brought member Victor and he bore the most beautifully testimony. They connected so well. Oh how beautiful is the spirit! I love being a missionary and the incredibly powerful spirit. Charles accepted everything, wants to be baptized, and is very excited and commited to reading and praying. He accepted a fecha for the 5th and lost it in the next sentence by saying he cannot come to church, it'll be soon!
Miracle after miracle.
We had an interesting experience with a Polish refugee couple. Some other elders left us to babysit them in the church for 2 hours. Haha. They were baptized in Malaga, but did not speak a lick of english, so we spoke through google translate. The miracles of technology. I have met so many refugees and stow aways. Very very humble people, just amazes me. And even then, they were just happy and thankful.
We got fed loads this week: Arroz Negro, Honduranian cabbage salad type dish on fried plantains, Paella Valenciana, cerviche, all were great, (thankfully haha) then some spicy fish roll thing from nigeria that was interesting... :)
Zone Conference was marvelous. President and Hermana Dayton are just the most incredible examples. Their positivity and their counsel have really changed my life. I learned so much about the power of prayer and as I have applied what I have learned, the spirit as been so powerful. I know it has been a source of all these miracles. The spirit is absolutely crucial here and in life. I always want to be worthy of the spirit, i could not imagine life without it.
So many people are on the verge of baptism! So many great things happening.
I just walk around with a smile on my face, because this really is the greatest thing. I love Valencia, and I love being a missionary.
Come unto Christ, and let Him fill you with the greatest joy ever!
Thank you for everything! Love you all!
