Staying in Sunny Valencia and Couldn't Be Happier!

Hola hola hola!

I am staying here in my favorite place in the world: Valencia! Hermana McBride is my new companion and is currently on her way, but this week so many miracles!

Angeles called us! She has been completely silent for weeks and she told us it is because of how embarrassed she is about her addiction. But she welcomed us back and we had 2 excellent visits about the power of the Book of Mormon. Poco a poco, but great things are happening!

Andrea. She is a miracle in and of itself. When we meet with her, it is like she teaches me. She found the church here all by her self and wants to be baptized! And wants her whole family to be baptized too! We've met with her mom and her sister that are here in Spain, and they are so excited to be an eternal family. They have all had a very difficult life. Andrea is 24 and practically raised her 2 younger sisters because her mom had to come here 12 years ago to work to support them. She has had several friends invite her years ago and even before then she always saw the temple in her city and tried to go in one time haha then when her friend took her to church, she was like, "wait, that's the same name and the temple that didn't let me in." She laughed it off and felt right at home. I know you are all thinking it, so what's the catch: Her and her mother are gone all of august working. Haha. BUT Miracle: Andrea is going to Palma which is were Hermana Cummings is going!!! We set a fecha with her. Her mom will be getting baptized in September, and we have a cita with her little sister on Friday! (Who thankfully is staying in Valencia!)

We met a woman named Maria in the park. She is from Peru, and we set a return visit and were able to teach her and her daughter! Both were very receptive and excited!

Llamilet, from Honduras, has only 2 hours or less of free time every Sunday and sacrificed 30 minutes to meet with us. She loved what we had to say, and she is excited to keep meeting with us!

Edward, from Colombia, is 22, I believe. We met him on a bench while walking to a cita. He had a bottle of beer next to him, but he told us about is life. He used to be way off the deep end, parties and what not, but has come to realize how awful it is. He is searching for God. We took recent returned missionary in our ward and were able to teach him about the Book of Mormon and receiving answers. He left determined to read and know which of all the churches are true.

Rueben, from Cuba, is reading! He accepted the first baptismal invitation, but now is timid. He is afraid to cause trouble with his Catholic wife, but he tells us once he starts a book he will finish it. He actually called us yesterday to set a visit and he was a little shy, "Are you sure you'll be near by that day? I don't want to waste your time." If he prays with a sincere heart with the intent to act, I know he will receive his answer and it will bless his marriage so much! But, we will go at his pace.

Jose and Esperanza, still working on the marriage issue. They came last Sunday again! Mostly for despedidas, but still. We talked to them a bit of why it is important to come, but they see it as, what's the point? I can't be baptized yet. They also usually spend Sundays as their only day with Esperanza's family, so there is that as well. But I have seen such tremendous growth in them! Oh it is so wonderful!!

Another miracle: BAPTISM TOMORROW!!! We have a 8 year old baptism tomorrow and I am very excited. Menos activo/Part member family, but this baptism is really working wonders. We got to teach her all the lessons. It will be so beautiful. And I get to sing :) It's one of my favorite things to sing at Baptisms. It has been marvelous to see the family really come together for this. The dad has been investigating for 9 years now. His problem is tithing, but the root problem is prayer, but he is getting so so close. He is all about special dates, so our goal is his birthday in September!

Well that's not all, but I just want to leave you with my testimony. I know that this is the true church of JESUS CHRIST. I know He is our Savior. I have learned so much about the role and power of His Atoning Sacrifice. I know as D&C 130:20-21 says that all blessings come from obedience to His commandments and to our covenants, which means when we make covenants, as long as we live them, they are nothing but more opportunities for God to bless us. I love being a missionary and I love you all!!
Thanks for everything and Have a wonderful week!!
