Best year yet :)
Well, believe it or not, today marks one year since I arrived in the Madrid MTC.
In one instance, I look back and think there is no way that was a whole year, then I look at how God has taught me to listen, pure love, sacrifice, live in the moment, humility, and rejoicing and working for the success of others, and sooo much more. I just amazed, because there is no way I am the same person I was a year ago, and thankfully I never will be. God has really used my mission to shape me and I am FOREVER grateful for following the spirit. I know the gospel is true. The atonement of Jesus Christ is real. I've seen so many lives change and it sure has changed me. I love my Savior!!
Today we went to a trampoline park as a zone, it was really fun! Then the Hermanas bought a whole bunch of different fruits and we are going to have a smoothie night. :) You know me :) Some things will never change.
We were so guided and so blessed this week.
One of the many miracles came Sunday afternoon. We had literally 0 citas, and we tried to pass by some investigators with no luck. My companion turned to me and said, "I've got a challenge, contact every single person form here to the church!" With a prayer we were off. Mostly rejections, BUT we did meet a man named Christopher and we were able to meet with him again that shows a lot of promise. And many other small blessings, and many seeds planted. But God blessings don't always come when we expect it. Late that same night when we were heading home, a man and his friend stopped US.
Jesus is our new friend who is from the Dominican Republic and he went to church and met with missionaries there! He loved it, but didn't have time because of work. We were able to meet with him Monday, and he is now reading the Book of Mormon and preparing to be baptized the 14th of April. His muslim friend came along for the lesson and actually summarized and testified with us! In the end he denied his personal salvation, but I know we got him thinking.
We were so blessed to teach many new people this week and 6 now are working towards a fecha. They are all very new, but we are so excited to see their progression.
Leo will be getting baptized next week instead of this weekend, but I think it's for the best because his non-member mom wants to invite lots of family and friends who are also not members. I am so excited for them to feel the spirit. Leo is doing great. He is so humble and such a good kid! He is so excited for his baptism.
Well I hope you all know how much I love you and how much God loves you! He has a perfect Plan, and thanks to the sacrifice of His perfect Son. We all have access to it. Seek it. Follow it. And never give up!
Love you all!
