Soller adventures and the Power of Christ's Atonement

Hello!!

Couldn't be happier to be a missionary!

Concilio was amazing and everything I needed.
We talked about the power of the spirit of Elijah and Temple work. When we take the Book of Mormon and the Spirit of Elijah (or in other words, our desire to know and save our ancestors), lives changes, people are forever converted, and so are their loved ones on the other side. Something that stood out to me is that President Dayton stated that those ancestors that have accepted the gospel are leading us to their living relatives, so we must never reject a prompting or their prayers would be in vain.

I can honestly feel my ancestors helping me and I know that Grandpa Read and many others are here, guiding and protecting me!

We took a trip out to the gorgeous city of Soller. It has a cute little center, beautiful port with the view of 2 faros (or translated lighthouses). Which are really special because our mission is nicknamed as El Faro for Europe.

I have to tell you, Jesus is a complete miracle and the most repentant sinner I have ever met. In the course of a week he has just been filled with light! His thirst and love for the church, for the scriptures, for the spirit is just unlike anything I have ever seen. He came here empty and hungry to be filled, and so he has! I cannot count the number of times he has told us how empty he felt at the beginning of the week, and how happy he was at the end. He was glowing at church. After the lesson, we had to do something in the church, and he just asked if he could sit there for a minute because he just feels so good. Because it's the spirit and the gospel is TRUE!!

To be short, he has been involved in very serious sin and feels utterly and completely guilty, but he has been applying the atonement of Jesus Christ and has TRULY changed his countenance. He was brutally beaten a few days back for having a Book of Mormon, but he told us that he didn't fight back, because he is changing his life. Any time the church is open he wants to be there, because that is the only place he feels peace. He reads, and watches all sorts of videos on the app and is just remarkable!

Leo's family is unable to do the late time schedule due to conference, so we are going to push it back one more week, but it is really important they are all their. Plus, they are largely non-members that we are anxious to meet, so it will all work out.

We are also working with a darling little 13 year old and her 11 year old cousin from Colombia, who are so spiritually intelligent and in tune. And I firmly believe they and many more will join Jesus and Leo in being baptized this next month!

I am so excited for this week and wish you all a very Happy Easter and Conference Weekend! I know Christ lives. He rose the third day and that because of Him we can change, our lives can be better, and we will be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father and all of our families. I know God called a living Prophet today and I know that he, and only he, holds all the keys on the earth today that make it possible for us to have eternal families.

Thank you for everything!
I LOVE YOU ALL!!
