Greetings from Catalunya... or whatever country I am serving in :)

Hello from Catalunya! Or... Spain? Not really sure what country I am serving in right now, but I just know I am serving my God and I just LOVE IT!!!

Training is so fun! One thing that has really hit me is that it feels like just yesterday I was on the other end, but then I look at how much I have changed and wow. I cannot express how grateful I am for the mission. I am still good old Hermana Read, but my testimony has been rooted deeper and deeper everyday in the doctrine and I just love getting out the door and bringing others to that same joy!

I realize more and more how God has been preparing me in every aspect long before the mission. Like acting and auditioning not only prepared me extremely well for all the rejection (I never realized how much we got rejected until it was taking a toll on my companion), but also for the ward talent show where we did a skit with our district. It was fun haha. Today with our district, we went out to a cathedral on the top of the hill and then to an all you can eat sushi bar that was delicious and so fun! I just love Barcelona and everything about it!

This week we had a lot of fired visits, but that is okay. It just makes the citas we do have all the  better. I love to be bold. In preach my gospel it talks a lot about the authority and power of our calling. I can feel the spirit speak through me as I open my mouth and lovingly bear my witness of the truth.

Ivan is doing well! He now is working towards the 18 of November!! (just in time for a happy birthday grandma Jensen and then getting the holy ghost on my birthday!) He just eats up what we teach him, but he didn't make it to church yesterday, so we will keep working.

Yesterday we were out with a member and he took us to a menos activa that we hadn't met. Brisa's mom answered the door and she welcomed us in. She isn't a member, but we had a beautiful lesson with her and Brisa about faith and the blessings of the gospel. Brisa is 15 and has been through an extremely hard year with depression and other things, but they were both thrilled that the Hermanas came back, they both commited to read and Brisa is very excited to come back!

The joy that comes from the work is often subtle but so deep! I know God lives, I know this is His work and that everyday, rain or shine, He has given me the gratest opportunity to go out, learn from everything, and bring the world his truth!
I just love being here! Thank you for the love and support. There is no way I'd be here with out you!

Love you all!
Hermana Read
